How many homeschooling families have mused that much of the ‘learning’ happens while in transit from here to there?

Today was grocery-getting day for us. Always a busy day.

As we drive anywhere, Nic is abuzz with whatever is on his mind, and there’s always a lot.

Today we were doing math, he does very well without pencil and paper despite my earlier efforts to get him to write everything down.

Then we were talking about history.

Then astronomy.

Then social issues.

And out of all of this he says: “I’m glad we don’t watch tv anymore. There’s more space for my brain to think.”

Anything more would be superfluous.
