Yesterday afternoon the attachlings and I made 3D greeting cards.
I got the idea from Family Fun magazine. You can see the sample finished project and directions here: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=12101 There’s a template there that you can use for the making of a christmas tree or dreidel card. I didn’t use the template, just ‘eye-balled’ the directions and made one.
After I had one made, the boys noticed I was doing something again and came over to investigate. Of course their desire to make one was immediate — and predictable. 😉
These are unbelievably simple. With just a couple sheets of construction paper, scissors, crayons, pencil and glue stick…and about 10 minutes (adult construction time) you have a wonderful handmade card.
I’m not sure what we might do today…but digging around in the Family Fun website is sure to inspire.
blessings & holiday greetings!
