Maybe people get structure and rigidity confused.

Unschooling provides a certain structure to a child’s life. They aren’t just left to blow aimlessly in the wind. They are companioned by at least one caring, hopefully connected, adult.

A life informed by autonomy and choices and independence and curiosity can still provide stability and support. It just doesn’t have arbitrary rules, limitations and ‘because’-es.
